BIO
I've worked for nearly fifteen years as a horror filmmaker and composer for film and theater. My newest film THE HARBINGER was released theatrically and streaming by XYZ Films after playing to acclaim at festivals like Fantasia, Sitges, FrightFest, and many more. It follows the success of 2018’s The Witch in the Window, also festival darling and eventually picked up as a Shudder “Original”. My previous film work includes We Go On (writer/co-director) and Yellowbrickroad (co-writer/co-director), both released around the world, garnering cult status with fans along the way.
II wrote the songs and co-adapted "Me...Jane: The Dreams & Adventures of Young Jane Goodall” (based on Patrick McDonnell’s children’s book) for the Kennedy Center Family Theater, where it premiered and went on to a national tour. In 2014 I composed for another Kennedy Center production, “The Gift of Nothing”, featuring characters from the MUTTS comic strip. I also wrote and performed as guitarist and lead singer of the indie rock band The Real D’Coy, releasing two albums along the way.
As an instrumental composer, I've scored my last three features, as well as several plays, trailers, and logos. My music comes in a variety of styles - rock, jazz, classical, electronic, folk, and more. I’m an experienced vocalist, pianist, guitarist. I work in Logic Pro and have an extensive library of instruments, samples, and sounds to draw from.
I live outside of New York City with my wife, two kids, and one ornery old cat named Smush.
